Judith Hernandez, first won acclaim as a muralist during the Los Angeles mural renaissance of the 1970s and as a member of the celebrated Chicano artist collective Los Four. She painted murals for United Farm Worker Union, as well as the Ramona Gardens Projects in Boyle Heights.
